Senior Associate Director, Affinity Programs

Position Summary InformationJob Description Summary The Senior Associate Director is responsible for working closely with numerous constituencies to enhance Babson's relationship with its 40,000+ alumni through an integrated affinity strategy that relies heavily on cross-campus collaborations. Specifically responsible for leading Affinity team and campus partners in developing and executing, affinity-based networks, programs and celebrations; creating a strategy for enhanced engagement; cultivating meaningful relationships between the College and alumni volunteers through all forms of communication; promoting innovative and engaging programs, events, and initiatives to various constituents; and partnering in developing the strategy for Advancement's support for the Centers (Blank, Lewis, CWEL and Cutler, Sorenson, and Institute for Family Entrepreneurship) with a specific focus on engagement. Essential Responsibilities o Serve as the department liaison to the Centers which includes working in collaboration with Development colleagues to create annual goals for each of the Centers; providing two-way communication, event and program collaboration; and acting as a resource provider in terms of alumni volunteerism to achieve goals. o Support Athletics alumni gatherings and communication pieces around the teams by collaborating with the Assistant Director of Affinity groups. o Enhance the efforts of the Black Affinity Network volunteers and initiatives. o Liaise with The Fund for Babson for BOLD (Beavers of the Last Decade) Class Days of Giving, Black Affinity Network fundraising, and other affinity fundraising initiatives. o Lead the development of an affinity-based strategy including creating customized programs and communications for various types of affinities, student and shared interest; working with alumni volunteers on developing new affinity networks; and developing metrics to track and measure effectiveness of affinity engagement efforts. o Manage affinity team. o Assume additional responsibilities as required. Supervises: Associate Director, Alumni & Friends Minimum Experience Education Requirements: Minimum Level of Education Required Bachelor's Degree Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements: o A minimum of 8-10 years of alumni affairs experience preferably with some fundraising experience. o Must have outstanding, interpersonal, time management, attention to detail, organizational, oral and written communication skills. o Ability to work independently and with interruptions; as well as collaboratively across multiple constituencies. o Must have a strong customer service orientation. o Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database or CRM systems o Must have strong supervisory skills. o Must be able to handle sensitive material confidentially. o Creates an environment where direct reports have the freedom and security to take initiative; deals with complexities with resilience, resourcefulness, and optimism; and appreciates open mindedness, creativity, and agility in thought and tactics. o Embraces ideas and changes created by all community members. o Works independently to solve problems; looks for opportunities to take on responsibility; takes thoughtful risks; and effectively acts on new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results. o Anticipates and effectively handles change; demonstrates willingness to try new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
